Replace

“Always do more than is required of you.”

Commercial Roof Installation and Replacement

When the time comes to replace your commercial roof, you have many choices. If you solicit proposals from three different companies, you’re likely to get proposals for three different roof systems. The lowest estimate may not be the best system for your building. It’s no use comparing apples to oranges.

Before you ask for proposals, ask WNC Roofing to inspect your roof. They’ll provide you with a free roofing specification, which you then can send out for pricing. This simplifies the re-roofing bidding process by determining in advance the type of roof system your building requires. Only then can you compare apples to apples.

Commercial Roof Replacements

You have two options when you need a replacement for an aging or damaged roof:

  1. A “roof over” allows you to cover your existing roof, but it’s only an option if you have a single dry roof system.
  2. A “tear off” means you have to completely remove the current roof system to replace it.

To determine what type of roof you have, you first need a roof core procedure. Either way, WNC Roofing upgrades your roof to meet current building and energy codes.

Low-Slope Commercial Roofing Systems

WNC Roofing offers a full range of commercial and industrial roofing services, including new construction and roof replacement. In particular, they specialize in low-slope roofing systems, including popular metal roofs:

Built–Up Roofing (BUR)

With built-up roofing systems, a reliable waterproof membrane is field-fabricated with layers of bitumen, alternating with plies of reinforcing felts. The redundant layers give it exceptional resistance to water and weather. WNC Roofing has the expertise to install and replace BUR roofing systems.

EPDM — Single-Ply Roofing

WNC Roofing’s EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) roofing membrane exhibits superior weather and ozone resistance through a wide range of temperatures and conditions. EPDM membranes are available in several thicknesses, with or without polyester scrim reinforcement. Installation types include single-ply roofing in ballasted, mechanically fastened or adhered applications.

Liquid-Applied Roofing

This process waterproofs a roof by applying a specialized liquid coating. It’s suited to all types of roofs — including flat, pitched and domed. WNC Roofing performs this application regularly; they’re fully certified in multiple Quest Construction Products that include HydroStop liquid-applied roofing systems.

TPO — Single-Ply Roofing

TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is one of the latest flat, single-ply roofing materials on the market. The current membrane formulations are reinforced with a polyester fabric and manufactured using an ultraviolet-resistant formulation. TPO roofing comes in several thicknesses.

TPO roofing uses hot-air welding technology to thermally bond field and flashing seams; the welded seam eliminates the problems associated with traditional seam adhesives. TPO membrane roof systems also have higher reflectivity values; they’re available in white, gray and tan to minimize the amount of heat gain from sun exposure. Up to 30-year warranties are available.

PVC — Single-Ply Roofing

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) roofing materials are engineered to withstand the test of time, providing long-term performance even under the toughest conditions. PVC is a flexible, thermoplastic membrane manufactured using an ultraviolet-resistant polyvinyl chloride, delivering a pliable and durable sheet with excellent resistance to harsh chemicals and industrial pollutants. PVC roofing membranes are an ideal long-term solution for roofs that demand high performance at a lower life cycle cost.

Metal Roofing

With many styles and colors to choose from, metal roofing has become a popular choice for commercial roof replacement. It also offers long-term financial benefits.
